- Picture books are for everyone - so there is no age limit on participating in this award, but it is a "student choice award," so participants must be students (not post-secondary).
- Students must read or have read to them at least 8 of the nominated books. (But wouldn't it be fabulous to read all 15!)
- Online Voting will happen late February/early March
- Librarians, Teachers, or other representative adults will collect student votes and submit them online through a 15 Books link
- The winner will be announced in April
