15 Books is a student choice picture book award.
Simply put... If students read (at least half of) the 15 books, they may vote on their favorite to determine which book wins the 15 Books award.
Minnesota does not currently have a student choice picture book award. (We do have a fabulous student choice award for novels: The Maud Hart Lovelace Award!)
In the past I have run a student choice picture book award for the students at my school. But it's not quite the same when students know it's just us doing it - there is something special about that feeling of being part of something bigger.
For that reason 15 Books is open to anyone who would like to join us.
