Wait I thought it was called 15 books?

If you have been following 15 Books, you may know that it started as a pilot children's choice picture book award with the intent of getting an "official" award started for the state of Minnesota.

The work has paid off, and Star of the North a new children's choice picture book award run by   Minnesota Youth Reading Awards (the group which also organizes the Maud Hart Lovelace Award) will announce its first 10 nominees on April 25, 2013.

This will be the last year of the 15 books pilot. And since the new award will have 10 books as nominees, 15 books will only have 10 books as nominees for 2012-2013.

Thanks for all of your support with this pilot award!

The 2012-2013 nominees will be announced soon on this blog.
